Is UCSC a party school?

I have already decided to attend UCSC and my dad told me that it was a big party school and I didn't know this but nevertheless I'm still not changing my view about this school. I just want to know if it has major parties or how or where their held. I'm not a party person myself, but I will want to see what it's like. A little help won't hurt. Thank You.
